Assignment 1:
Choose a format and develop an approach to the structure and typography of your portfolio.
Collect work in designated folder and lay out Week 1 content. Export as PDF.

You are asked to collect all relevant images you have produced every Sunday evening in the form of a draft portfolio. In addition to building a draft portfolio every week, you are asked to upload the images to the SCI-Arc share. Please create and name a folder and subfolder as follows:

Examples and additional sources will be either made available for view / download on the website or can be found in the library.

PORTFOLIO GUIDELINES
1/ Pick a standard page size such as letter or tabloid (orientation of the screen). Avoid custom sizes that don’t fit comfortably within the proportions of the screen.
2/ Set up an invisible grid to keep your pages consistent.
2/ Your final portfolio should not exceed 35 pages and should include all three projects (approximately 10 pages per project).
3/ Pages must be numbered.
4/ Your final portfolio must contain:
-
an underlying clear structure and a consistent visual language
-
a cover with your name and last name
-
course name and year on the second page
-
a table of content
-
for each project: a title page, a short description of the assignment (one sentence taken from the assignment briefs on the website or in student's own words), a brief paragraph of no more than 250 words) explaining your response to the brief
-
brief captions for images
-
no more than two fonts and no more than two font sizes
-
headers and footers (sections and pages)
